I’m shocked and stunned someone saw this in my dreams and ripped me off. I’ve wanted USB ports in my apartment for months, what am I talking about, years and finally, here they are.

Click on this link and see what their saying about this. No mention though of how they got into my dreams and stole this. (LOL!)

Glitchville is Coming

A man screaming into his open laptop

What is glitchville? It’s when everything in your surrounding area has nothing but glitches in it and there’s nothing you can do. You can call your friend and ask them if you can use their super duper computer and printer. But what you’ll hear is, “They’re under the weather. I’ve got a tech guy coming in about 20 minutes to check them out.” You hang the phone up with a heavy sigh.

That perfect mobile with the clearest line all of a sudden, it has more static than usual. Your computer boots up slower than normal. You can’t get your e-mail open or Google crashes. Anything to do with technology is acting up more than normal. And when you call your friend to use their computer or printer, you discover theirs is acting up as well.

When is Glitchville Coming?

First, backup all your work, your files, all your computers at home and at work before Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Glitchville will last from Saturday, December 12, 2009 until Monday, January 25, 2010.

Do not buy anything to do with technology, like a computer, TV, software, hardware, etc. You will only have to take it back. If you’re stubborn and bought something during this time anyway, make sure you know the store’s return policy. Expect delays and total frustration during this time.

I had a client who was stubborn and refused to listen. He went ahead and bought a brand new printer. I opened the box, took the printer out, installed the software and connected the USB cables. I opened Notepad, typed in some letters and told the printer to print. Nothing. I tried all sorts of things but nothing worked. I reconnected the old printer which happily printed everything still. I knew what the problem was because we were in Glitch City. This printer wasn’t going to work until after the glitchville was over.

Once the glitches had run their course, which was about a month, we took the printer back to Staples and exchanged it for another printer, the exact same one. We went back to his office, I installed the software, connected the USB cables again and voilà, the printer worked! You really need to backup your files at this point anyway, but when things start to go awry on December 12th don’t say you weren’t warned.

Oh, what was the printer you ask? A Brother HL 5040 . . .

Downloading . . . I don’t know how!

Susan Boyle has sold over 700,000 copies of her CD. However, these are not downloads, they are purchased CDs.

This means people went into stores purchase physical CDs because they don’t know how to download. Knowing how to download is a staple of the internet and people should know how to do it regardless of their age.

If you see someone who is stuck and doesn’t know how to download, you should help them because . . . they could deduct that act from your allowance!!

Working Without Protection??? OMG!

Are you working on your laptop without protection? Protection? Do you let your computer get warm or ignore the severe heat while you work either semi nude or nude? You should put an extremely thick towel or grab one of those 1200-2000 paged books to put underneath your laptop but between you and your family jewels while you work. Even consider buying a laptop cooling pad for $30-$40 to make sure you are not disrupting your physiology for future generations.

The testes on a man should be 4-6 degrees cooler while working on a laptop. You should protect your swimmers men because the laptop puts out anywhere from 1400-1600 degrees or more of heat. That amount of heat could cause serious damage and future problems for reproduction.

You can buy a laptop cooler from Belkin, Zalman or any of the other companies out there, definitely shop around. I’m not recommending you buy a cooler from one of these companies. I’m suggesting if and when you have the money, buy a good one. I don’t get paid from these guys, but when you realize how embarrassing it could be in the emergency room explaining why you are there, you will wish you had put a nice, thick towel under your laptop. Those ointments are messy on clothing and your clothes usually end up in the dry cleaners.

I use a medium sized book wrapped like a burrito in a thick towel to keep from getting second degree burns. I’m too cheap to buy a cooling pad, but I do highly recommend this for males of all ages, shapes, sizes and color.

And if you use a towel, make sure it’s a clean one straight from the laundry and smells fresh. The heat from the fabric softer is really wonderful . . .
